Florida police said two people were in custody after a vehicle ran through two security checkpoints at U.S. President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort following a car chase on Friday.

Jillian Kitchener has more.

Florida police said they arrested two suspects after a black SUV managed to breach two security checkpoints at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach on Friday.

Officials said officers opened fire on the vehicle as it drove toward the resort’s main entrance.

The SUV approached the resort following a police chase.

It was not immediately clear if either suspect was wounded by the gunfire.

Trump was in Washington at the time, but was scheduled to leave for the resort later in the day.
