A 23-year-old has a boyfriend who is more than TWICE her age
A 23-year-old has told how she doesn't care what people think of her boyfriend who is more than TWICE her age - because the sex is "100% better" than with younger men.Laura-Marie Jenks, 23, fell in love with 52-year-old David Oliver's voice first -- after she heard him singing in a punk song she was given as a record bundle.And when she found out he was 29 YEARS older than her she was already smitten.The pair said they often get stared at while out in public - and he has been mistaken her for dad.But David deals with it by putting his hand on her bum to "get back at the judgemental people".Now 18-months after starting their whirlwind romance, the couple claim despite the age gap they are experiencing "the best sex" they've ever had. Laura-Marie from Mere, Wiltshire, said: "It's just 100 per cent better with an older man.
It's very healthy. "I don't think I've had so much of it in a relationship before."David will turn to me and go 'Oh I don't even have to take anything with you'. "I'm anything but deprived so it's great!"There's only been one time where David has been mistaken for my dad. "I was waiting at the doctor's and the GP came out and turned to David to say 'it's good of you to be here for your daughter'."I had to correct him and told him he was my partner and to be honest he was just so mortified.
He spent the next 10 minutes apologising. "But that was an innocent mistake."David added: "It's not so much things that people say but we do get some stares when we're out. "But when that happens I'll just put my hand on her bum or hold her hand."It's the best way to get back at the judgemental people. "We just laugh it off."I did have a friend who kept spreading I was a paedo which was really tough to deal with. "But as it stands I'm not friends with him anymore and I'm still with Laura-Marie so I think that says everything." Laura-Marie was playing an old punk vinyl she was given by a collegue when she became blown away from the record's vocals. She then researched the 1980s punk band and found lead-singer David on Facebook and added him as a friend, but conversation was started by David sending a wave emoji. Former music promoter Laura-Marie said: "The vinyl was part of a bundle I was given. "I was chilling out one afternoon and decided to play the records."I think it was the second one I had popped on and as soon as I did I just instantly fell in love with his voice. "I was working in the music industry at the time so i heard different kind of voices all the time and feel like I have a good opinion."But when I heard it I just thought 'Oh my God this is incredible'. "There was just something about it that really touched me.
I just had to get in touch with him and let him know. "I would even be setting my alarm in the mornings so I would be able to send him a 'Good morning' text and be the first thing he reads when he woke up."David said: "I have never been messaged like that for my music, let alone for anything more. "When she first started speaking to me I thought she was really stylish and just seemed like a really cool person. "I couldn't really tell her age but I noticed the conversation was flowing and that Laura-Marie spoke really well and had good English. "It got to the point where we were messaging every day and calling each other up." The pair continued to talk online and on the phone non-stop for two weeks before agreeing to meet up in Plymouth, Devon, in July 2018.It was half-way between her home in Cornwall and David's cottage in Wiltshire, and they spent six hours chatting non stop.They continued to meet every few weeks and in December of that year, David wrapped-up a key as a Christmas present, and asked Laura-Marie to move in with him. David said: "When we met I just had this overwhelming feeling that we were meant to be together. "We walked around a park chatting away before we sat on a bench and just hugged for almost an hour. "I remember there was a squirrel just watching us. "Other people in the park must have thought we were quite mad."Despite the three decade age gap, the couple said they are absolutely smitten - even though David is almost as old as her dad, who is 69, and mum, aged 64."I could tell my mum wasn't overly keen," said Laura-Marie."She didn't say anything outright but my last boyfriend was around my age. "I don't really see too much of my dad but when we pop by we just get a grunt. "He's a very grumpy man.
He's just happy sitting down and watching Dad's Army and doesn't concern himself in too much. "I even introduced David to my hairdresser and she ended up loving him. "She told me that after meeting him all her doubts went out the window. "She could tell he was a good man and how happy we were with each other. The pair are planning to move 20 miles away to Frome, Somerset, soon.Laura-Marie said: "I'm just so, so happy.
He's the sweetest man I've met."It's so just so different from dating guys my age. "There's maturity and we are both crazy about the Foo Fighters. "I'm a bit of an old soul at heart and I've been brought up with older people so I converse easily with them. "With typical guys my age they're on their Xbox and into their gaming which just isn't me. "Both David and I share the same-era of music and like reading and writing. "In a way I've always felt quite alien. "But David is teaching me to be a better person.
I used to get really stressed about situations and in your 20's you're stressing to be the best person you can be. "He's helped with that and has drawn from his own life experiences. "He tells me to just live in the moment and do what I want to do. "I think when we move to Frome later this year we'll get some cats before we think about doing anything else."When it comes to kids, I'm a bit selfish in a way. "Because of the age gap between us I would rather us just enjoy each others company the best we can. "I would be absolutely honoured to get married to David but we'll have to wait and see.
It's up to him."All I know is he's the best man I've ever met.
I've got a good one."David added: "I think the stares we get at the moment will ease up when we move to somewhere a bit more liberal. "I've never been married or had kids.
It just has never worked out for me. "But I have Laura-Marie in my life now and she's my world.
