Malcolm X Documentary Prompts Re-Examination of Murder Case Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance's office announced it will revisit the case involving Malcolm X's assassination.

The announcement follows buzz around the six-part Netflix documentary series, 'Who Killed Malcolm X?'

The series calls into question the theories surrounding the 1965 murder of the famed civil rights leader.

Specifically, the series investigates the convictions of the three men charged with X's murder at the Audobon Ballroom.

Two of the three men convicted, Muhammad Abdul Aziz and Khalil Islam, have continually maintained their innocence.

The non-profit organization known as The Innocence Project is now working with civil rights attorneys as well as the Manhattan DA.

Their goal is to use new information to shed light on the facts of the case and clear the names of the wrongly convicted.
