Skies will be building in cloud cover tonight with temperatures falling into the lower teens with light and variable winds.

There could be a few flurries, otherwise it will be dry.

We will start off with some flurries or light snow showers heading into the morning but any steady snowfall will hold off until we get close to noon.

Temperatures will be climbing into the mid 30s which will cut down on the accumulations.

It looks like between 1-3 inches of wet heavy snow will fall across most areas, some areas may see slightly less with all the compacting and melting that will take place while it falls.

Also lakeshore areas and the far southern Fox Valley will probably see less with a southeast wind drawing in milder air resulting in a possible rain/snow mix.

Winds will be a tad breezy out between 10-15 mph with gusts around 20 mph.

Snow will taper off late Monday night with some lingering snow showers carrying over into the early overnight.

Temperatures will fall into the lower 20s.

Skies will gradually clear as we get into the predawn hours.

Tuesday will be a sunny and cooler day with highs in the mid 20s.

Then some reinforcing cold air will arrive Wednesday and Thursday with highs back in the mid teens.

Friday into the weekend, we get back into the 30s and possibly breaking 40 by the end of the weekend.
