The family of Amiya Braxton, the seven year old who died after being hit by a car while getting off the school bus in 2016, unveiled a sign to to honor her memory.

Drivers to be cautious on a dangerous highway.

Amiya braxton was only 7 years old when a hit car her while getting off the school bus in 20- 16.

Wtva's sydney darden is live with how the family hopes the sign will slow drivers down.

I spoke with the parents earlier and they say they know this won't stop the pain but they do hope save this could save another little girl or boy from having the same fate as their superstar amiya braxton.

Pontococ law enforcement says the driver kept driving despite the school bus' stop sign and was never charged or ticketed for the incident.

School administrators hope the new signs will make it so other children wont face the same fate.

As the community joins together in the fight for safety and continues the fight for justice for amiya braxton amyia's mother andrea says this does not change anything about her daughter's case and she will continue to fight for her daughter until the driver of the car that killed her is convicted.
