Helicopter crash in North Manchester leaves one in critical condition

A man is in the hospital in critical condition after crashing his helicopter into a North Manchester field Sunday night

Breaking right now .... a pilot in critical condition in a local hospital his experimental aircraft crashed on a wabash county farm.

Chris i'm on a farm about 1 1/2 miles west of north manchester.wabash county sheriff ryan baker says they responded to a reported helicopter crash here at 6:13 this evening.

3 they found this single-engine, single occupant aircraft in this field.baker says the man was airlifted to parkview hospital in critical condition.

3 the plane remains in the field on its side as authorities wait for the faa and the ntsb to arrive from indianapolis and investigate.the pilot's name has not been released at this time.it's not immediately clear where the aircraft took off from or where it was heading.we'll continue to update this story on air and online at wfft-dot com as more details become available.
