Two boys were killed after their car hit a tree Wednesday morning.

A third boy was taken to the hospital for surgery.

We are told extra staff will be on hand today at the school to help students.

News 18's jordan burrows reports how the school is coping during this difficult time.

A moral obligation harrison principal cory marshall says to help anyone who needs it - especially emotionally.

Sot: we do have the counting staff and other community resources available for them to support and do what we can to help through what's a difficult time.

The tippecanoe county sheriff's office responded to a car crash at lovetree lane and 100 north.

Deputies say three teenage boys were inside the 4-door sedan when they hit a tree.

It closed down 100 north from 675 east for a few hours.

When deputies arrived two people were inside the car and a third outside.

Marshall says he wants to make adults are present at school to listen to students - to hear them out.

Sot: students will often want to talk and that's okay and they will do that with teachers and counselors.

He says it starts with teachers.

Sot: teachers are often that first line.

Students rely on teachers.

They are a constant.

They are there everyday.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected in the crash.

Soc police say the teens killed will not be publicly identified until today's autopsies are complete.
