To the polls.

There are more than 12-hundred delegates up for grabs across the country today.

Waay 31 has team coverage for you this midday on super tuesday, and what to expect when you head to the polls!

Waay 31's sierra phillips is monitoring the commute to get to the polls..

But we start with waay 31's rodneya ross.

She is at willowbrook baptist church in huntsville where voters have been coming in and out since 7 this morning!

Rodneya.

In the last hour congressman mo brooks walked up the stairs behind me and exercised his right to vote.

When asked who he voted for he jokingly responded himself -- but he also touched on topics on the ballot like amendement one.

Brooks is running against retired navy seal chris lewis in the fifth congressional district.

When talking to brooks he told me he's worried about voter turnout bescause of the weather.

Live in huntsville, rodneya ross waay 31 news.

Thanks rodneya -- if you're headed to cast your vote after work in the union hill and lacey's spring area -- you'll need to build in some extra drive.

That's because of the highway 231 road closure.

Bethlehem baptist church in lacey's spring and union hill senior center are both polling locations along the detour.

We continue our super tuesday team coverage with waay31s sierra phillips.

She talked with voters at the senior center.

Sierra - they tell the detour is causing some election day headaches, huh?

I spent some time talking with a woman who says she was the 7th voter here at union hill senior center this morning and when she did it was busy!

She says there was a line out the door.

Some people waited in their cars to stay out of the rain.

Officials inside couldn't tell me how many people have voted so far.

While i've been here in the last two hours, it seems to have slowed down, but the voter i talked with says she expects heavy traffic to pick back up again later today.

Westbrooks- "a lot of people would try to get up here early before they went to work and this afternoon when people get off work will be busy again."

Deputies say they're on standby just in case they're needed to help with traffic control this polling site is across from a high school where a school resource officer will be directing traffic.
