Well for many people across the country, super tuesday revolves around politics..but here in the hoosier state, tonight is all about hoops, as the 110th annual boys basketball state tournament officially tips off...???we begin our night in huntington... class 4-a... an all s-a-c showdown in sectional six... wayne taking on homestead..???pick this one up late first half, spartans up a dozen and adding to it... jake archbold inbounds and gets it right back for the easy duece... homestead leads by 14 at the break..???but the generals come out swinging in the third quarter... nice little hesitation pull up from quincy miles... that's a long two...???this next one's gonna count for three though... off the kickout from michael redding, jaquan kizer steps in a triple... wayne opens the second half on a 7-0 run... that trims the deficit to seven..???but that's as close they would get... other end, luke goode smoothly knocks down three of his 13 points... ???as sparty punches its ticket to the sectional semifinals, 70-50 the final... they'll play south side on friday..

???it's all about the ne-8 on the other side of the bracket... new haven awaiting the winner of huntington north vs.

Columbia city..???and the hosts get off to a hot start... sam thompson misses the three, but it's rebounded by dominic cardwell... right back to thompson for two of his team-high 13..

Vikings take the early lead... ???columbia city comes right back though... mitchell wilson showing you why he's the program's all-time leading scorer... wilson led all scorers with 23...???this game was tight all night, but jordan hollowell and the vikes hang on... 11 points on the night for hollowell..???as huntington north survives, 46- 44... back here in the summit city..

Sectional 5 at carroll..

North side taking on northrop tonight...legends came in with just one victory..

But they didn't look the part tonight..

Late fourth..

They're up and adding to it..

Isiah moore finishes the press break..

Northrop not going anywhere... nick haines with three of his 10... that cuts the lead down to just one...a few possessions later... qualen pettus with the biggest two of his game high 16..

Northrop takes the lead and never gives it back..bruins survive and advance 52-48..

They'll face carroll on friday at 6 in the sectional semis... other side of the bracket... all ne8 battle in the nightcap..

East noble taking on dekalb...this one tight in the third... knights up just six..

The talented sophomore finishing with 14... but the knights wouldn't let em hang around long..

Knights get snider on friday in the late game... final 4a stop comes in west lafayette... marion taking on mccutcheon in sectional 7 action...this one never really close... third quarter... rodney gipson finds rasheed jones..

Three ball corner pocket pure... giants up 15... later in the third... j-k thomas finds jones again... other corner same result..

Marion goes up 21...but j-k thomas can shoot the rock too... the senior goes off for a game high 37... marion advances 81-57..they'll face logansport friday in the semis... to class 3a we go... sectional 22 at garrett... s-a-c foes bishop dwenger and concordia lutheran squaring off to open sectional play... cadets in control early in this one... evan minger dials long distance... he had 11... concordia out to the early five point cushion...other end brenden lytle has the answer... three ball of his own cuts the lead back to two...then... back to a five point game..

Lytle feeds inside hunter burns on the break for the bucket... saints down three after one...but the cadets would take care of business tonight..

Brayden pearson leads the way with 13...concordia wins 49-39..

They'll face angola friday in the sectional semis... staying in 3a..

Sectional 21 at northwood... lakeland taking on tippy valley... second quarter... lakers with great ball movement... brayden bontrager fights off the viking defender for the bucket..

Game square at 22..

Tippy responds... great hustle play from brendyn stump gets braden shepherd a bucket... game is square at 24 at half... but the lakers dominate in the second half... bontrager... with the bucket... plus another... 24 points... 10 boards... 2 blocks for the big man..lakeland wins 54-33... they get wawasee on friday... bellmont 64, eastern 41... face norwellole miss 57, oak hill 43... face heritage up at westview, sectional 35 the 4th ranked host team taking on number 19 prairie heights and the atmosphere was lit as the kids sayfirst possession for westview, good ball movement from the warriors here.

They work it to lyndon miller standing in the corner, he drills the trey ball for the first points of the game.on the return trip down the floor, pr's seth troyer tries to match miller, he misses, but the big man elijah malone grabs the rebound and he buries the bucket for two for his team.a little bit later onwestview relies on the ball movement here.

Unfortunately, westview was too tough tonight, they would go on to roll the panthers 70 to 54.

They move on to sectional semi finals on friday ???staying in class 2-a., we move down to manchester..

Sectional 36..

Ac-ac champion bluffton taking on t-r-c champ wabash..???and this one was as good as advertised... time winding down in the third quarter..

How bout dominic mcpherson with a mcbuzzer- beater... the tigers take a one point lead into the fourth quarter...???but the apaches quickly re-gain the momentum in the final frame... can't give trenton daughtry that much space... he'll make you pay...???and then later in the fourth, more from daughtry... this time finishing with the floater... he goes for a game-high 26 points..???as wabash pulls away and beats bluffton, 53-44... ???so the apaches move on to play the winner of the nightcap at manchester... host squires squaring off with canterbury..???and manchester couldn't miss early on in this one... caleb stout drives and kicks to weston hamby for three... squires open the game on a 10-2 run..???but the cavaliers have a comeback in them... will shank with the strong take... hoop and the harm... he had 13 on the night... that ties for the team-high..???and chris diwis wasn't far behind... the big fella finishing with 12 points and seven rebounds... ???as canterbury holds on to win a close one, 58-56 the final..
