Butte County Public Health has received lab confirmation of the second case of COVID-19 in a Butte County resident.

Here's what we know -- the person is an adult and experiencing mild illness.

We do not know their exact age.

They got tested after being notified they may have been exposed while out of the country.

I spoke with people in chico who say..... i'm not surprised i figured it would get here eventually seems like it's spreading everywhere it's spreading a lot and right now there aren't too many people out but the fact that it is spreading a little bit, i guess, yeah just yesterday we broke the news of butte county's first case.

That person is a chico man over 65 with underlying health conditions.

Health officials say he also has mild symptoms and is self isolating at home with afamily member.

Public health officials are urging the public to follow governor newsomes stay at home order right now more than ever.### again, public health officials have confirmed the second case of coronavirus in butte county, what we know so far is that they are an adult experiencing mild symptoms and it appears to be travel related.
