Americans Turn to Foster Pets for Companionship While Stuck at Home Animal rescue organizations across the U.S. have reported an uptick in adoptions over the past month as people have been staying home because of COVID-19.
Best Friends Animal Society, a nonprofit with locations around the country, has seen a "surge" in pet applications, according to CEO Julie Castle.
