Vice President Mike Pence was put in charge of leading the Trump’s administration’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Pence said he would soon deliver a recommendation to the president about reopening the U.S. economy.
President Donald Trump said closing the country has hurt the economy and wants to reopen everything by Easter.
According to Reuters, Pence said the taskforce will rely on data and scientific advice to make the decision.
He said: “Ultimately the president will make a decision that he believes in the best interest of the American people.”
