At just 15 cm (6 inches) tall, furry siblings, whose gender is not yet known, were born on March 2 but displayed outside for the first time only recently where zookeepers filmed them clinging tightly to Fiona and surrounded by other adult lemurs.

"Ring-tailed lemurs are one of the planet's highest primate conservation priorities, so we're absolutely thrilled to see two tiny babies born into the group here at Chester," director of animals and plant collections at Chester Zoo, Mike Jordan said in a statement.

Ring-tailed lemurs are native to Madagascar and are easily identifiable by their long black-and-white striped tail.
