MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – As more churches turn to drive-in services, North Central Health District reminds people of COVID-19 safety guidelines.

Local jails, further reducing the need to transport inmates to a courthouse for pre-trial and post-conviction hearings.

As more churches start holding drive-in worship services ... the north central health district is reminding people ... to follow covid-19 safety guidelines.

Michael hokanson with the north central health district says... he is not advocating for drive - in church services.

But he wants people to refer to the centers for disease control guidelines.

He says remember to stay six feet away.

And stay out of big crowds.

"a car is an enclosed environment and is a symptonmatic individual is in the car with other individuals they do present a risk to others in close proximity."
