New on daybreak as more people are staying at home, that made us wonder if law enforcement is seeing less crime.

Kimt news three's madelyne watkins joins us live this morning to explain what the rochester police department says it's seeing more often.

Many people across the country are out of work right now.

But the rochester police department is working every day, monitoring calls, looking for any new spikes or trends they need to jump on.

Lieutenant thomas faudskar tells me he would like to see crime statistics going down, but unfortunately it is still a little too early to tell.

That's because there are a lot of factors involved to really calculate crime statistic numbers for trends.

However, lieutenant faudskar says if anything, there has been a slight uptick in domestic calls.

He says he would like to see more people helping each other thank you madelyne.

Rochester police department has a call center specifically for covi?19 related questions or concerns.

Lieutenant faudskar says that's helping the dispatch center only receive emergency calls.
