On Thursday, Oregon Women's Basketball Head Coach Kelly Graves joined NewsWatch 12 to talk about the upcoming WNBA Draft.

Could potentially see four first round picks.

But it is the new york liberty's trade up to the ninth pick that has kelly graves talking with me today.

And as the draft inches closer, the nerves for those ducks are ramping up.

<kelly- "well i am feeling pretty good.

I am not the one that is going through it, they are.

You know ruthy, and satou, and sabrina they are going to have life changing days.

So i am thrilled for them.

There is not question about that.

They worked really hard at this.

çáádrop two lineááñ it is a dream come true, and they are about to realize that dream tomorrow."

Cam- yesterday, new york.

Blockbuster trade.

Moves them up to 9.

That kind of opens up the door for sabrina and ruthy to potenially both be there.

I know a lot of players and coaches don't get too far into that analysis but have you thought about that yet?

Kelly- yes i have thought about it a little bit.

I had a feeling she might go before 9.

One of my players, courtney is one of the best players in the world.

She plays for chicago and they have the number 8 pick.

I know courtney watched a lot of our games this year and she has been lobbying her general manager who is also her coach and also her coach in russia.

She has been lobbying to get ruthy.

I talked to her last night, and i think she is pulling for ruthy to go at 8.

If not, 9, i think new york would be wise to take her.

Cam- "take this for example real quick.

I am a new york gm.

I am thinking about taking ruthy hebard at nine.

I already took sabrina ionescu at one.

I am calling you on the phone to ask you, as a pair, what am i going to get out of these two together if i decide to build my program on those two."

Kelly- "you are going to get stockton and malone.

Two hall of famers.

Honestly.

I mean, no one has ever done it better than them in the women's game.

In fact, i talked to both the coach and the gm in new york yesterday.

So, we are in regular communication.

Walt is actually a friend of mine.

I think he is going to be a great head coach for them.

This is his first head coaching job, bit they want them.

They want them to be a cornerstone of what they are trying to build.

You know that by the fact that they traded away the face of their organiztion in the last decade in tina charles."

Cam- now i have to ask you this kelly.

I know how oregon works and i know how coaches work so bear with me here.

Any reach out from new york or other wnba teams for kelly graves services?

Kelly- oh i have had talks with wnba teams in the past, yes, including this upcoming season.

But no i am happy in eugene.

I think pro basketball is attractive but i think college basketball is where it is at.

So yes, no question.

I have had discussions with other people.

I am pretty open about that.

But no, i am not going anywhere.

I think we are prepared to sign another contract here so that will be forthcoming.

Cam- to have three top 10 picks on one team, the chances for you guys at a national championship was incredible.

The chances were through the roof.

How tough of a hurdle has it been to jump over the whole ncaa tournament being canceled?

Kelly- well i don't know if you will ever actually get over it you know?

Fully.

This was our year.

We just had everything in place, we were playing well.

We had the talent.

We were motivated.

We had experience.

I just think we had one of those players in sabrina and ruthy as well, that were just not going to allow us to lose.

Having the opportunity to play two at home in eugene.

Then as the one seed in portland, to go up and potentially win two there to put us in the final four... i just did not see anything that was going to stop us with all do respect to everybody else.

There are other great teams as well.

I just felt this was our year.

You know, you got to get over it.

I mean there is no question.

Today is a big step towards that.

Not today, but tomorrow if the draft.

Then those players who won't get that opportunity again will have a chance to move on to what is next.

Hopefully they can win a world wnba.

Here are your projections.

As of right now, according to an
