Michigan Faces Biggest COVID-19 Protest Since April 15

Hundreds gathered at Michigan’s state Capitol to protest Gov.

Gretchen Whitmer’s request.

Whitmer wants to extend the state of emergency to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The protest is a follow up to “Operation Gridlock,” where people mostly protested in their cars.

According to Reuters, it will be the largest protest in the state since April 15’s “Gridlock.” People protesting think the governor’s stay-at-home order is too strict and want to reopen the economy.
