Playing professionally wasn't aforethought for Oregon Tech's Seth Erickson until after the NAIA National Tournament was canceled, cutting his senior year short.

Shelton."

Seth erickson spent five seasons on the basketball court at oregon tech focusing on improving his game one day at a time.

His goals were aimed at making that day or game the best of his career.

But when the n-a-i-a national tournament was canceled, his thoughts turned toward the future.

(topic key) a professional basketball career was never a pressing issue for seth erickson as he carried out his senior campaign.

After completely breaking his fourth metacarpal, known as a boxer's fracture, on his non-shooting hand -- his only focus was getting back to the court.

Erickson says, "when i got injured i was really striving to get back and play the end of my year and kind of the 'playing professionally' was kind of in the back of my mind."

But not long after erickson and the rest of the hustlin' owls arrived in sioux falls, south dakota to compete in the national tournament... their season was cut short.

(take seth key) seth erickson says, "before the tournament this year, or before we flew over to south dakota, i was looking forward to playing one last time with my teammates.

Erickson says, "so that was kind of taken away from us, i was really motivated to start a professional career.

Erickson signed with promo sports, a global sports agency.

It's the same one that oregon tech teammate mitch fink signed with after ending his career at o-i-t.

And just like at oregon tech, erickson isn't looking too far into the future.

He wants to take it one season at a time.

Erickson says, "so i don't really know if i want to make it a super long career.

I don't know if my body can handle something like that, maybe it will.

I just want to play one season over there to start, see how i like it, if i enjoy it, you know, playing it professionally and just seeing where that takes me."

And as it has been since the start of his career, erickson just wants to play basketball and keep getting better.

Erickson says, "i had some agents asking me how much money i wanted to make and that's not really a goal for me, i just want to be in a place where i feel like i can elevate in division and keep improving my game and obviously be somewhere that would
