'Largest Greek flag ever' hoisted into position with crane near Turkey border

A huge Greek flag was hoisted onto position with a bug crane near the border with Turkey on Thursday (May 14).

The gigantic 500 square metre flag was hoisted in the Port of Alexandroupoli, Greece as was part of ceremonies to mark 100 years since the liberation of the city of Alexandroupoli.

According to local media, it is thought to be the largest Greek flag ever made.
