TRACE is a study by Oregon State University to see the prevalence of COVID-19 case in Corvallis.

New tonight at 11... the oregon state university study nicknamed --trace... released their findings about the coronavirus in corvallis.... and its good news.

Kezi nine news reporter connor mccarthy is here live in the studio and shows us what this means for the community.

Chynna-- last week we told you the first week of testing in corvallis by trace found two out of every one thousand people in the city had the virus.

Now new data-- fromthe weekend of may 2nd and 3rd --- found*one out of every*one thousand people had the virus.

And none of the samples tested positive from week 2.

This video you are looking at is from when kezi visited the study's test run in the middle of april.

During the second weekend of testing 30... two-person teams visited 359 homes and sampled 672 people.

O-s-u officials say at least one person in each house hold agreed to take the test resulting in 77 percent of households taking a test.

Trace's last weekend of sampling was suppose to be this weekend... but they are postponing to see how the easing of the stay at home order affects cases.
