Whitesboro tennis star remaining local to begin collegiate career.

Staying local to continue her educational and athletic endeavors.

Karlie cubino has been on the whitesboro varsity tennis team since seventh grade...here she is with her doubles partner of four years - kylie cleary.

The duo made history for the school as the warriors' first-ever doubles team.

They were also a pretty impressive pair going undefeated through the regular season for their senior year.

Along with cleary - cubino placed third in sectionals and made it to the individual state qualifiers for the second year in a row.

Cubino finished her senior year with a 33-12 record and completed her high school career with a combined singles and doubles record of 67-28.

Her and cleary were both named 2019 all-mohawk valley tennis all- stars.

She had also played volleyball - ran track for the warriors and signed up to play unified basketball this spring with cleary before the season was cancelled.

Cubino is joining the joint m-v-c-c/suny oneonta childhood education program in the fall.
