CDC Warns Public of Starving, Aggressive Rats in U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently warned Americans about an increase in aggressive rat problems across the country.

According to their statement, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in decreased food waste, AKA food available to rodents.

In turn, this has caused an increase in “unusual or aggressive rodent behavior" as they search for new food sources.

CDC, via Fox News Urban rodentologist Bobby Corrigan says some rodents, such as the rats in New York City, have even resorted to cannibalism.
