Streets of Manhattan quiet after several nights of protests

The streets of Manhattan, New York City were quiet for the first time since the protests over George Floyd death started.

Footage filmed in the early hours of Thursday (June 4) shows deserted streets and police presence outside stores on Fifth Avenue.

According to the police chief, the curfew has worked and there was no reports of looting in Manhattan.

Earlier on Wednesday, thousands of people marched through the city and 60 people were arrested for not following curfew orders.
