Thousands lined up at The Fountain of Praise Church on Monday to say goodbye to George Floyd.
The memorial was open to the public, and the crowd included leaders, athletes, police officers, and many parents who brought their children to be part of the service.
George Floyd’s brother shared an emotional moment with the crowd.
He said, “My brother was a huge role model for a lot of people.
He was the first person who everyone looked up to in our neighborhood because he was the first one to get a scholarship to go and play basketball or football like he wanted to do.
A lot of people didn’t have the money, and he was one of the ones that said ‘Hey you can do it.’ He would help you do a lot of things.
