John's lutheran church on west chestnut street in rome is holding a farmers market.

There are soap vendors, meat vendors, produce, honey, wordwoorking, some crafts, and food trucks.

This was the fifth week the church hosted the market.

The coordinator for the farmers market says every week there is something new to come and check out.

"there isn't any vendor that stands out.

We've got gypsy girl was new last week, old time was new this week, next week we've got nothing bundt cakes out of new hartford, they're going to have a booth here.

So i think the draw is just people getting out and coming to qulity vendors and shopping out here."

The market is following social distancing and mask guidelines.

It runs every wednesday through october 7th.
