As school administrators develop plans for the fall ?
"* the minnesota department of education recommends collecting community input.
That's why stewartville public schools is asking parents to fill out this online survey.
It gauges families' comfort levels when it comes to returning to school or continuing distance learning.
The survey asks parents if they're comfortable or not with measures like mask wearing ?
"* temperature check*- and limited visitors.
It also goes over what resources kids need to successfully learn online ?
"* such as if they need more live instruction ?
"* or whether or not they have internet access.
I spoke to superintenden t belinda selfors on what the district hopes to gain from the parent there's definitely guidance and directives that we will get from mde and mdh that will be requirements of the plan, but if we have any local decisions that we can make within those plans, we want to use the input from our parents to help make those decisions teachers and school staff are also being asked to contribute their thoughts in this planning process.
