The Town of Webb Police are searching for answers after one man drown in the Stillwater Reservoir.

Police have identified 69 year old jerry jennings as the man who drown wednesday evening at stillwater reservoir.

Jennings brother 67 year old calvin jennings was also in the boat when the trouble occurred and was taken to the hospital for hypothermia.

Johnston, town of webb police the sole survivor did indicate that on their way back from the island the boat began to sink.

His brother yelled to him: get away from the boat.

They were together for some time, but because the water was so rough they became separated and they lost sight of one another.

The two were both wearing life jackets in their small 14 foot aluminum boat, and their belongings were found stretched over about a mile of the lake.

Yesterday they had an example of that where they had a big log that was about 14 feet long that they marked.

It looked like a boat, and they dove on that and it was just a log.

The lewis county sheriff's department dive team, the new york state forest rangers, and the town of webb police are all actively searching for jennings boat, hoping it may provide some answers to what went wrong.
