Close to some railroad tracks in lexington were told to turn off their air conditioning today.
Fireifghters say that's because a fire broke out along the tracks near angliana avenue this afternoon.... sending smoke into the air.
Firefighters believe heat caused a pile of railroad ties to catch fire.
No one at a nearby apartment complex had to evacuate.
