COVID-19 Immunity May Fade Over A Period Of Days Or Weeks

Immunity against COVID-19 in people who have had and recovered from the disease may fade after 90 days.

The data is from a small study that looked at 34 patient's antibodies following infection with and recovery from COVID-19.

According to UPI, the analysis evaluated patients ranging in age from 21 to 68 years old.

Researchers found that subjects produced antibodies from as short as 44 days to as long as 119 days.

Researchers said that their results suggest immunity may be "relatively short-lived and immunity may wane." researchers also said that the findings need to be confirmed in a larger study, with more patients.
