Facebook Messenger Rooms to roll out live streams feature

Social media giant Facebook is adding more virtual hangout features to Messenger Rooms. According to Mashable, Mark Zuckerberg's empire announced on Thursday morning that the Messenger Rooms video call app would get some integration with Facebook Live.

From within the Messenger Rooms app, the user will be able to hit a button and go live to Facebook, sharing whatever conversation one is having with the world.

One will be able to invite as many as 50 people to join the call.

Additionally, the user can host the most chaotic live podcast or a virtual book club or a webinar.

Once after starting the stream, the user gets to choose where on Facebook should be shared and one can also get to choose the audience, who will watch the live streaming.

It also offers an option to add new guests mid-broadcast and can remove a guest whenever required.

The new feature will start rolling out in "some countries" on Thursday, according to Facebook.

Messenger Rooms was launched earlier this year in the midst of the pandemic.

Former Congress minister blames party for Bengaluru violence

Former Karnataka minister in Congress-JD(S) coalition government, Roshan Baig, has blamed Congress party for the Bengaluru violence. Three people died in the deadly violence and 60 police personnel got injured. "Poor sections of minority communities should not be exploited by Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) or Congress. Congress has been patronising SDPI for past 10 years and then they could not protect their own MLA. Congress is totally to be blamed for this incident," said Roshan Baig. The violence broke out over a derogatory Facebook post on the night of August 11.

Facebook's Biggest Enemy Is Also An Incredibly Valuable Customer

In an antitrust hearing before Congress on Wednesday, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg spoke about the social platform's biggest 'frenemy': China. Facebook’s apps and websites have been banned in China for more than a decade. However, Gizmodo reports Facebook has spent the past two years quietly engineering backdoors into its ad platform. Such backdoors give Chinese companies seemingly the same tracking and targeting abilities Americans have come to know and loathe.
