The Herkimer Central School District held a virtual forum to inform the public about it's plans to ready schools for the return of students this fall.
An online community forum tonight to discuss re-opening plans.
The forum included a brief presentation about reopening guidance from the state and an overview of the options at the elementary and junior/senior high school levels for the fall.
Superintendent robert miller says these plans are based off of feedback from a parent survey that was sent out.
Miller says the district will be ready for various scenarios.
One challenge for many districts is activities where social distancing and wearing a mask are not possible.

All school re- opening plans must be submitted to the state by july 31st.
