PM Modi also released two books written by the chairman of Patrika Group of Newspapers, Gulab Kothari. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Governor Kalraj Mishra and Gulab Kothari, were present at the event. The iconic gate is built by the Patrika Group on Jawaharlal Nehru Marg in Jaipur.
Rajasthan would soon host several development projects in textile, defence and aviation sectors. For this, the Rajasthan Government has entered into an understanding with SVP International Group for investment of Rs. 4,000 crore for development of facilities related to these sectors. In presence of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, an MoU was signed. As per the agreement, SVP Group would develop a project for defence and aerospace including aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities, an aviation academy and another project related to textile. These projects would generate employment for more than 4000 people. Prior to this, representatives gave a presentation and shared the details of projects proposed by the company. For time-bound implementation of these investment projects, the state government has constituted a committee chaired by Principal Secretary Industries. Commissioner, Investment and NRIs will be the Member Secretary, Managing Director RIICO, concerned District Collectors, Director Civil Aviation and representatives of SVP group will also be the members of this committee.
Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil has accused the BJP led NDA of trying to politicize actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death for garnering votes in Bihar. Addressing the media, Gohil said that some were trying to gain political mileage out of the death of the actor and asserted that the first to demand a CBI probe in the case was a Congress party MLA. He said that those who think that people would forget issues like migrant crisis, lack of jobs, Covid mishandling are foolish. Gohil also added that some film star is summoned every single day to attempt to divert the attention of the people from the real issue. He added that probe agencies are not supposed to make any evidence public during investigation, but still Whatsapp chats are made public. Amidst protest from some fellow BJP MLAs, a major reshuffle in Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh-led coalition government took place on September 24 by dropping six cabinet ministers and inducting five new MLAs including two ex-MLAs who had resigned from the Congress party. The swearing-in ceremony was also attended by BJP's vice president Baijayant Jay Panda and BJP North East general secretary (organisation) Ajay Jamwal. "This kind of reshuffling is normal in politics. Whatever I'm doing is with blessing of central leaders. I hope we can work more for development," says CM N Biren Singh The two ex- MLAs inducted as ministers today are Okram Henry Singh and Oinam Lhukhoi Singh. Both were Congress MLAs who had resigned from the state assembly and joined the BJP in August this year. The other three inducted as ministers in the government are MLAs Sorokhaibam Rajen, Thokchom Satyabrata Singh and Vungzagin Valte. All three are from the BJP. One more cabinet seat is still yet to be filled as six cabinet ministers have been removed from the government.
Congress Rajya Sabha MP Syed Naseer Hussain over the suspension of 8 MPs from Rajya Sabha due to their 'unruly' behaviour on September 20 said that the suspended MPs were not just protesting for the suspension to be revoked but also for the farm bills. Hussain said, "We wanted not just the suspension to be revoked but at the same time, we wanted the farm bills to be taken back and proper voting to happen. But nothing of that sort was going to happen as the chairman wasn't ready to listen to anyone. So, all the opposition parties boycotted the rest of the session." "They appealed to all the people who were sitting at the dharna to finish it and join them in boycotting the rest of the session. That is how we have ended the dharna," he added.
Congress Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad on September 22 said that the party will boycott Parliament sessions until the government will not accept their demands which is to bring another bill. Through the bill, opposition demanded for fixing MSP under formula recommended by Swaminathan Commission along with this, they also demanded that government agencies like FCI should not buy crops below MSP. Azad said, "We will boycott Parliament session until Government accepts our 3 demands, government to bring another bill under which no private player can purchase below MSP, MSP to be fixed under formula recommended by Swaminathan Commission and Government agencies like FCI shouldn't buy crops below MSP."
A para-cycling rally organised by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has reached Rajasthan's Jaipur on September 26. The para-cycling rally started from Gujarat's Sabarmati Ashram on September 17. It will culminate at Raj Ghat in Delhi on October 02 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Around 24 members are participating in para-cycling rally including 6 women. In wake of rising COVID-19 cases in Rajasthan, Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in 11 districts. These 11 districts include Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Udaipur, Sikar, Pali and Nagaur. Section 144 was imposed to curtail the spread of the virus. A family of four people allegedly committed suicide in Jaipur, police said. Jaipur East's ADCP Manoj Kumar informed that the family hailed from Alwar, but was residing in Jaipur for the past five years, and preliminary investigation indicates debt to the reason for committing suicide.
