Golf Tip of the Week: Grants Pass Golf Club

On the back nine of the Grants Pass Golf Club, elevation changes are plentiful and you'll need some help navigating them.

Of the area's best golf courses.

Today, newswatch 12 sports josh shelton helps golfers prepare for the back nine of grants pass golf club.

(take josh key) josh shelton says, "there's 18 great holes of golf to play out here at the grants pass golf club, but there's a stark contrast once you make the turn from the front to the back nine.

Some simple steps to remember for the those tricky uphill shots.

And with the opposite lie, just take the opposite approach.

Jeff ott says, "we now have a downhill lie where we're going to try to play the ball a little more forward in our stance, have a little bit steeper swing so we catch the ball before we hit the ground."

And by hole 17, players should have a good feel for how distances fluctuate with the elevations, making
