Deepika was questioned for over five hours at NCB’s Colaba guest house while Shraddha and Sara were summoned at a separate office. The top Bollywood actresses were summoned by NCB earlier. Former Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey has hinted at taking the political plunge ahead of the assembly elections in Bihar later in the year. The top cop has been in the news recently for his ‘aukaat’ jibe at Rhea Chakraborty in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Pandey had also taken on the Mumbai Police and questioned it over its handling of the actor’s death probe. Pandey said that he will discuss with people and take a final call on whether or not to take the political plunge. He said that people from Buxar, Begusarai, Sitamarhi and several other places have told him to contest from their constituency if he takes the political plunge. He said that he worked in different positions in most of these places and hence people have been flocking to him to contest as their representative. Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale reacted over Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer Vikas Singh's comments on Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe. "We need to end this menace of drugs and curb its smuggling, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) should probe it. But CBI should also come to a conclusion soon and investigate this new drug angle related to Sushant's death," said Union Minister Athawale. Ram Das Athawale on also commented on Disha Salian's death and said, "We have heard that Sushant Singh's manager Disha Salian went through some torture in her master bedroom during a party at her house on June 08. So CBI should investigate her death as well and come to a conclusion soon."The Minister also supported Payal Ghosh. Ghosh has accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct.
Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh was interrogated by NCB on Friday. The actor was questioned in drug case related to Sushant Singh’s death. Rakul Preet Singh was questioned for over four hours by the probe agency. NCB DG M Ashok Jain said Rakul Preet’s statement will be analysed. "Her statement will be analysed and produced before the court," Jain said. Rakul Preet was among the four actors summoned by NCB for questioning. Sara Ali khan, Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor will also be questioned. Meanwhile, Sushant’s family feels probe has taken a different direction. "Family feels that investigation being taken in different direction. Looks like media attention is diverted towards stars called by NCB. Related to drugs, case can be filed only over casual consumers. Rhea could be charged with huge case if she was involved in a syndicate. By examining photos, AIIMS doctor had said it was death by strangulation. CBI normally issues press statement in such a huge case. CBI has not issued a press statement till now, it is very serious. CBI won’t reveal findings; family is also unable to do anything. NCB is calling big stars, I don’t think there will be a huge case," said Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh.

Sena leader leader Sanjay Raut said if Bihar doesn't have enough issues, Mumbai can parcel some. The Sena leader's jibe comes a day after the Election Commission announced the schedule of Bihar polls. Bihar is slated to go to polls in three phases on October 28, November 3 and 7.
