The owner of Broadway Heights says they will soon open up an outdoor dining area to stay afloat during the pandemic,

One local business owner is frustrated over what he calls a lack of people following state safety measures... now he's forced to change his game -- again.

Kristian how soon could we see what's in store?

Owner scott schulman says he hopes it'll be ready next week.

He says things were going well at his restaurant when they reopened for dine in a few weeks ago but was frustrated when they had to shut down indoors again.he believes it happened because many people werent following the state guidelines.

Now - he's working to open up an outdoor dining area to stay afloat while the county is on the watchlist.

We have some logistics since we are on the second floor.

But i think we are going to have a beautiful patio in the alley behind us.

The logistics we have to figure out hopefully by monday we will be able to serve hopefully, 50 people at a time.

He says it will be challenging since they will have to bring food downstairs but says he's excited because he will be able to hire a few extra people.

This is where it will be located, you can see its a park-like atmosphere with trees and shade.

Schulman says he plans to purchase some misters and fans.

He tells me he turned in the paperwork for the outdoor patio today.

He says he wants to have about 8 to 10 tables out here - all would be spaced about 8 feet apart.

We could see this happen as soon as next week.
