Rohingya refugees stranded in Indonesia demand justice

Dozens of Rohingya refugees protested outside the South Sulawesi Legislative Council (DPRD) Office in Makassar City, Indonesia's South Sulawesi, on Tuesday (August 11).

According to local reports, Rohingya refugees are asking to be immediately relocated to a third country or returned to their country, after several refugees who became sick were not given access to health care.

One of the refugees, Muhammad Ruby, said in the interview: "Rohingya refugees in Makassar just want to find the best solution.

We are also human and want to be treated like normal humans.

We also have the right to go to other countries." In June this year, Indonesia rescued nearly 100 Rohingya migrants stranded off the northern coast of Aceh.
