Houston, Texas artist Joni Zavitsanos started a memorial project to honor those who we have lost to coronavirus.
So far, she’s completed more than 120 portraits of men and women.
She’s honored mothers, fathers, deputies, even a truck driver who devoted his life to helping others get a second chance.
Joni said, “Every single human being that is on the Earth has a meaning and a purpose.
And their life should be celebrated.”Joni is now searching for a permanent place to hang all the portraits, so their families can gather and pay tribute to their loved ones.
