Well folks, after over five months off, we are back and better than ever...alongside my partenr petar hood, my name is justin prince..and ?this?

Is the return of the locker room... the last time you and i were studio together, the sports 3 world was turned upside down..

It was friday, march 13th..

That was the day pretty much everything was put on pasue, including all high school athletics...and i'll be honest prince, there were times this summer where i thought we wouldn't see prep sports again until the fall of 2021...but here we are...yeah, it has certianly been a long and windy road to get to this point, but tonight marks the return of high school football here in the hoosier state..

We've got a full slate of games to get to, but pete we begin, as we often times do, with the s-a-c... that's right, our game of the week takes us out to homestead... ???spartans coming off of their first s-a-c championship, now the proud owners of that victory bell.... taking on a northrop squad that's coming off its best season since 2006... ???pick this one up first quarter... first drive of the game for homestead... and the gameplan was pretty simple... get it in the hands of braeden hardwick early and often... the senior turns that little screen pass into a 41 yard gain... ???couple plays later, they hand it off to hardwick this time... and this time, number 26 puts six on the board... finds the pylon to put sparty up 7-0 early... ???but the bruins were not backing down to the reigning champs on this night... ensuing drive... kareem freeman swings it out to c-j davis... the sophomore showing some burst into homestead territory...???and speaking of burst... this guy's got plenty of that... demarius cowen... know the name.... breaking tackles on his way in for the touchdown... one of four on the night for cowen..

He goes for 276 yards..???as northrop beats homestead for the first time in program history, 25-21 your final... we head over to shields field now... the sherwood haydock era begins at wayne as the generals visit dwenger... things not starting out the way he'd like... saints already up 14 in the second quarter... generals trying to get something going..

John michael fabini says not on my watch..

Breaks through for the sack..

Wayne has to punt..

Ensuing drive for the saints... brenden lytle back to pass... he finds an open jack tippmann in the endzone for the touchdown... make it 21-0 saints...later in the quarter... just before half... generals driving... but shawn collins fumbles the ball... matthew jimenez recovers for the saints... dwenger takes over with less than 30 seconds to go...and they would take advantage... lytle... buying time in the pocket... finds devon tippmann in the flat.... he finds paydirt...make it a 28-0 game at half... dwenger goes on to win this one 35-0 the final... ???we head down to bishop luers... knights hosting carroll in their season opener tonight...???this one is all chargers when we pick it late first half... under a minute to play in the second quarter, ramon anderson scores the knights' first touchdown of the season... that makes it 41- 7 carroll with just a few ticks left before halftime..

???some may take a knee in that situation... doug dinan says there's time left, so we're gonna go score... little lateral from mason englert to hunter mertz gets 'em in position..???and then on the final play of the quarter... it's jeff becker doing what he does best... escapes pressure, finds englert open down the field... and that's a buzzer- beating touchdown to put carroll up 48-7 at the half..

Englert finishes with three scores on the night..

???chargers cruise, 48-14... next stop takes us to spuller stadium... kurt tippmann's snider panthers hosting north side....and if you think coach tipp looks a little mad here's why... north side up 33-10 at half... snider showing life to start the second half tho... reece thomas gets to duce taylor for the sack... panthers take over after the punt..but the legends would not let them sniff a comeback... lah-shon miller drags down luke haupert on the q-b keeper... snider has to punt...ensuing drive... here comes north side... taylor looking deep and connects with adrian sewell down inside snider territory... a few plays later... ja'suan lambert takes the handoff... hits the cutback... and finds the endzone... make it a 40-10 game...north side wins 47-17... it's their largest win over snider since 1988... ???final stop in the s-a-c comes at south side... 3-a #7 concordia travleing to take on roosevelt norfleet and the archers...???cadets led 23-0 at the half... and they're keeping their foot on the gas when we pick this one up third quarter... south side punting... kameron johnson fielding at his own 18 yard line... and i could be wrong, but i don't believe my man gets touched until his teammates greet him in the endzone... 82 yards to the crib... concordia goes up 30-0...???south side trying to get something going... trevor hapner hoping this nifty little move can spark his team..???but it would not... lot of buzz surrounding that concordia defense and they sure showed up tonight..

???cadets pitch a shutout, 37-0 your final... up to kendallville we go, the east noble knights playing hosts to plymouth.we pick things up at the end of the second knights already up 14-0 when dalton stinson finds a streaking nick munson down the side able to make his way into the endzone.

Knights would go up 21-0,they weren done though before the half ends, they tack on a field goal to go up 24-0on the other side, plymouth defense showing up a bit here.

Knights are on the plymouth 17 yard line when stinson heaves it into the corner, only to be picked off by devante garcia,but that wasn the end of the night for the knights.punter cole schupbach boots the ball into the plymouth red zone, but the retuner fumbles the catch, he get hit and the ball would be recovered by rowan zolman in the endzone for six points, knights roll 31-0 ?

???warsaw tigers taking a trip to huntington north to take on the vikings.???first posession for the tigers..

Sticking to the ground game.

The quarterback aaron greene keeps it himself and takes it in from twenty yards for the score.???an offsides on the extra point gives the tigers an opportunity for two.... and they convert.

Eight- zero.

???the vikings would respond on their next posession.here a handoff to zach hubbart for the big gain.

Then the misdirection play for garret johnson for the touchdown.

They're able to convert their own extra point.

Its eight to eight early.???then some defense... the d line for the vikings holds on fourth down to get a big stop.

Not enough to keep the tigers out of the endzone for the rest of the game.???warsaw starts the season up with a dub.

Final is 42 to 35.

We head up to leo now... an n-e-8, a-c-a-c showdown between leo and woodlan at leo stadium tonight...and the lions set the tone from the get go tonight... opening kickoff... kaeden miller takes it deep in his territory... he finds a seam and there he goes..... miller would end up going 92 yards before being drug down just short of the goal line... nearly takes out your favorite sports guy in the process...but two plays later... carson hoeppner takes the handoff... he plunges in from a couple out..

Make it 7-0 leo...later in the quarter... it's a nine nothing game after leo forced a safety... jackson barbour... calls his own number... he takes it in from six yards out... make it 16-0 leo after three possessions...and things never got better for woodlan from there... still in the first... barbour back to pass... he hooks up with rylan crawford for the score...leo goes up 23-0... they pitch a shutout to open the season... 50-0 the final... ???to columbia city.

The eagles holding their season opener at home against the churubusco.???this one a run away for columbia city.

Third quarter-- opening kick off.

T-j bedwell refuses to go down.

???then this next play... just silly.

Third down... the pass 3 by gregory bold skips off the ground to bedwell.

Looks like its incomplete.

He stops as he catches it... defense stops.

The thing is... since the pass went backwards... ball is still live.

Bedwell launches it to hunter herron.

Touchdown.

???couple plays later... its abe barrera for the big gain on the screen pass.

He takes it down near the red zone for the eagles.???then bolt able to punch it in himself on the goal line.shaken up but he's ok.???c-city... a lot better than o-k today.

They start the season one and oh.

With a 38 to zero win.

An in county match up in noble county tonight.

West noble hosting central noble and before the game, everyone taking a moment of silence to pay respect to anthony reyes, a west noble student who tragically died in a car crash this week.once the game started, take long for the visitors to get on the board.

On their second drive, cent will hoover would rumble his way into the endzone, putting the cougs up 6-0it wo take longer for the chargers to respond.

West noble would get three first downs in a row, leading to this roll out pass to hunter foreman and used some fancy footwork, would make his way into the endzone helping west noble go up 7-6.central noble would respond before the end of the first quarter.

Quarterback sawyer yoder, he calls his own number, he would turn on the boosters and rips off 85 yards and evades a tackle for the touchdown.his team goes up 13-7 and the cougars are starting the season off 1-0 with a final score of 27-14?
