There's a push to cut down on distracted driving on a portion of u-s 30 in van wert county.the distracted driving safety corridor runs from klinger to stripe roads.the section will have increased patrols from the ohio state highway patrol.it's also marked with signs put in place by o-dot.from 20-15 to 20-19, this section of u-s 30 has had 336 crashes resulting in 6 deaths and 76 injuries.
Lieutenant jon gray with ohio state highway patrol says there are many things that can be labeled as distracted driving.
O-dot officials say the signs do help bring awareness and promote safety in these areas.
