44Blitz PAC Highlights Week 4

Switching to the pac... gibson southern and boonville will now square off twice in the regular season due to covid-19..

This week counts as a conference battle.

We pick it up midway through the second ... titans clinging to a 22-21 lead ... but brady allen is looking to add to the pad ... rolling out and hitting brayden malone in the flat ... crossing midfield.

Later in the drive ... allen crosses up the defense with the run ... owen bryant slices 16 yards into the pioneer red zone.

The drive appears to stall there ... but on 4th and 9 from the 13 ... gibson southern rolls the dice ... and it comes up 7 ... as allen fires to logan murfin who makes the sweet snag in the corner of the endzone ... 29-21 titans.

That was brady allen's 4th touchdown strike of the half.

But there's just enough time for boonville to answer ... and they turn to "who else" but devin mockabee ... who sweeps to the left ... then slashes across to the right for 22- yards and the pioneers are at midfield.

Time winding down before halftime ... pioneer q-b mason phillips drops back ... then steps up and launches ... hits clay conner in the flat ... he has room to roam ... but comes up short.

As the half ends there.

Gibson southern wins 43-35.

Mockabee goes for over 400 yards and five touchdowns despite the loss and we end with rivalry night in the jungle.

2013 was the last time south spencer beat heritage hills... the rebels looking to end that streak tonight.

However the patriots come out firing in all three phases of the game... beginning on defense forcing south spencer backwards on their opening drive... then comes the special teams ... the rebels punting from their own goal line ... skyler staple picks up the return off the bounce on the dead run ... he cuts across the field and leaves the south spencer coverage team in the dust ... the 45-yard return makes it 7-0 patriots.

In the second quarter ... heritage hills starts to roll ... jacob schmidt fires to the sidelines ... and jordan mitchell makes the great grab- and-go... finally getting knocked out at the one yard line.

Two plays later ... owen schaad caps off the drive with a one yard dive ... 14-0 patriots.

And heritage hills is on it's way to a 36-7 victory.
