Ole Miss students protest against the university because of coronavirus concern, demand the school to do more to keep students safe.

Stood in front of the lyceum today.

Protest leaders said they stood in solidarity with staff that are working during this pandemic.

Student worker, tex boren said they are asking the university to hear their demands.

One of which is hazard pay for workers who are on campus... boren believes it's only a matter of time before a student or staff members dies from the virus... and believes its not safe for students to be on campus and that the university is not taking necessary precautions to keep students from transmitting covid to others.

This is a coffin... to go with out graveyard theme... if we don't do anything... alot of students might die... we already have 500 cases going up... that means at some point if it hasn't already happened... students are going to die of covid... or at least take it back to their parents or their grandparents..

And they're going to end up passing away due to vovid..

So the universities response and how they will just send people back that are quarantined... like... that's whats going to happen... there's already been so many deaths in the u-s because of it... but but the chancellor and part of our government just don't want to listen.

We've reached out to the chancellors office - however he was not available for comment at the time... craig?
