Ash rains in Ecuador after increase volcanic activity

This is the ash rain that was caused by a volcano in Ecuador which has seen a rapid increase in activity recently, with columns of smoke as high as 10 kilometres affecting several provinces and closing an airport. The ash rain was recorded across several provinces in Ecuador in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday). It was caused by the country’s most active volcano, Sangay, which is located in the centre of the country in the Andean region. One of the videos shows the moment the ash rain falls as the person filming describes it as "full-on ash" falling in the area leaving it "completely dark".
