Steve Simon is encouraging Minnesotans to vote early and by mail.

The time we're now less than three weeks away from election day and this one will be different from any other.

Kimt news 3's madelyne watkins joins us live to explain some of the key changes you can expect to see this year in minnesota.

There are a few key differences this year... the legislature is now allowing election judges to get into mail?

"*in votes 14 das before the election and allow extra time for local jurisdictions to count ballots.

Mail in votes can be sent in up to november third, as long as it arrives by the tenth.

So if we don't have the results of all precincts on election night, simon says it isn't because someone dropped the ball or because the election is rigged... less instant gratification on election night than we're used to.
