About the issues they hope to address if elected.

On november 3rd, voters will decide which of these candidates is the best choice to serve the 119th district.

Republican john zielinski hopes to un seat democratic incumbant marianne buttenschon to reduce the democratic majority in the assembly.

Zielinski says upstate new york issues have been ignored by downstate law makers.

"the problem with being an upstate democrat, the problem is with being an upstate democrat, ou have to follow the party line and that means being quiet sometimes."

Buttenschon says she's taken the area's concerns to albany on a regular basis "never ignored in the sense from me.

That's something that i spend three times a week on calls with the governor's office regarding our concerns."

When asked about the economic concerns due to the coronavirus, buttenschon hopes to help those who lost theirjob.

"we have the cree project wehave utica area, in rome we havethe d so so many projects when we look at the econmoic development whether its a positive or a challenge, we still have to put them in the forefront."

"i intend to advocate strongly for economic development, which will result in job growth.

To back the police to make sure we have adquate police coverage and to represent the values of our people."
