In our election 20-20 coverage... senate majority leader mitch mcconnell was in kentucky campaigning today.

One of the topics brought up was the contentious fight in the senate to confirm president trump's supreme court nominee... amy coney barrett... just weeks before the presidential election.

Mcconnell says he is proud he was able to get barrett confirmed... saying it was one of the most important tasks he's acomplished in the last four years.

Mcconnell's opponent in the senate race... amy mcgrath... has blasted the senate majority leader on the confirmation... saying he was more interested in pushing through a supreme court justice than helping americans by passing another coronavirus relief bill.
