Absentee ballots are being counted in the 22nd district congressional race...but not in every county, yet stand up .

None here in oneida county, they won't begin counting until thursday.

A total of 58,672 absentee ballots have been received in the 22nd district.

That's all 8 counties.

They didn't just start counting in cortland county today; they finished.

And 3545 of their absentees went to incumbent, democrat anthony brindisi; 1101 to republican challenger, claudia tenney and 130 to libertarian party candidate, keith price.

Roughly 28 thousand votes separate frontrunner tenney from incumbent, brindisi.

Tioga, broome and chenango counties plan to start counting thursday.

From tenney's camp, quote.

"the judge made clear today that there should be no objected to ballot included in the final count until it was resolved and that all reasonable requests by the campaigns should be accommodated by the boards of elections.

The counting begins and we are confident claudia will emerge the clear winner shortly."

-- from a brindisi spokesperson: quote: new york voters deserve to have their voices heard.

The brindisi campaign welcomes this court ruling, firmly believes every legal ballot should be counted, and will fight to make sure voters are not silenced.
