Serving up Thanksgiving to-go

A local organization serves up Thanksgiving to-go.

But the pandemic has changed everything including this annual holiday event.

Kimt news 3's alex jirgens was at the kitchen today to see how busy it was ?

"* and will be back on friday.

But today was especially busy ?

"* serving up their typical thanksgiving meal ?

"* just a dy early.

Utilizing a small group of volunteers ?

"* hungry cliens were treated to a full meal ?

*- from turkey and gravy ?

"* corn and potatoes ?

"* and pie and milk.

Over 450 meals were served up today ?

"* showing jut how much is needed with everything going on this year.

Jane fisher is a familiar face to those who regularly come to the kitchen.

She reflects on how thankful she is to volunteer "the people are so appreciative.

It's different this year with just doing takeout, but when they're here and you're walking through the tables, they talk to you and so appreciative.

I like that the best."
