The legendary coach who transformed the SOU wrestling program starting in 1969, died peacefully on Monday.

Some sad news today from s-o-u athletics.

Bob riehm-- the man who put s-o-u wrestling on the map-- passed away peacefully on monday at the age of 83.

That's according to an s-o-u athletics press release sent out earlier this afternoon.

Riehm spent 25 years at the helm of the raiders wrestling program from 1969 to 1994.

In that time he led the raiders to three national championships, coached 100 n-a-i-a all-americans and never had a season below .500.

In 20-11, s-o-u dedicated the gym in his honor, naming it bob riehm arena.
