After months of protesting, Ty ford said he feels like his voice and the voices of the Black Lives Matter movement have not been heard.

Was not on fire.

New information tonight... in an officer involved shooting in eugene.

The district attorney says they're conducting two criminal investigations.... one into the use of force by police.

And, the other into allegations of domestic violence.

Kezi nine news reporter connor mccarthy joins us live at west 2nd avenue and madison street -- with the latest.

Connor.

Matt and renee -- lane county d-a patty perlow says she will not release the name of the suspect until charges have been filed.

Overnight-- this vigil was set up near the crime scene by some community members... who disagree with the officers decision to shoot the suspect.

Ty ford-- an organizer for black unity-- says he is shocked police pulled their guns on a suspect who only had a knife.

He says police had other tools at their disposal that didn't involve a bullet.

Ford says after months of protesting and demanding some sort of tangible change-- what happened yesterday makes him and others feel like their voices have not been heard.

We live in a country right now where they're scared to live in a place without police.

We are done talking about reform and we are here to talk about revolutionary change that will benefit people as a whole.

Ford says the most frustrating part for him and black unity is the lack of transparency from police.

He wants police to release all the video evidence they have.

Matt and renee--- the district attorney's office believes there are more witnesses to yesterday's event.

They want anyone who saw anything monday morning to call oregon state police.
