Katie... george... those notes of cautious optimism stem from mayo clinic seeing the number of positive tests across the midwest decrease to just 305 on sunday.

Mayo also saw positivity rates start to stabilize or drop across the region as a whole over the weekend.

But those trends took a sharp turn monday... with positive tests totaling 381 yesterday.

Experts are also concerned about the positivity rate in southwest wisconsin... which jumped from 8.4% to approximately 20% over the weekend.

While those increases coincide with thanksgiving gatherings ?
